Hello! My name is Irith. I am a self-employed freelance translator, working primarily between English, Hebrew, and Japanese. My hobbies include travel, theatre, photography, Modern Kempo Karate, and running (I am a proud member of the L.A. Leggers, and can often be found at the Runner's World Women's Running Forum). I was born in Israel and raised both in Israel and the United States. I have lived (definition: had an apartment or other residence) in Philadelphia, Tel Aviv, Cheltenham, Chicago, Hiroshima, and Kyoto.
My husband and I recently moved to the West Coast from Philadelphia, where my husband, Aaron, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. I myself am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's College of Arts and Sciences with a major in Biology and a minor in Japanese Studies. Surprisingly enough, Aaron and I didn't attend Penn at the same time (click here to learn about how Aaron and I met). We are now living in an apartment on the west side of Los Angeles. I hope you enjoy your visit to this site!
